Fabien Desage

Fabien Desage is a lecturer in political science at the Centre for Administrative, Political and Social Studies and Research (CERAPS; UMR CNRS 8026; Université Lille‑2). From 2012 to 2014, he was a visiting professor in the political science department at the Université de Montréal and holder of the Chaire d’études de la France contemporaine (Chair in Contemporary French Studies) at the Center for International Studies and Research (CÉRIUM).

He is a member of the editorial committees of Politix and Metropolitics, and is also the co-author, with David Guéranger, of La Politique confisquée. Sociologie des réformes et des institutions intercommunales (2011, Bellecombe-en-Bauges: Éditions du Croquant). With Valérie Sala Pala and Christelle Morel Journel, he recently co-edited Le Peuplement comme politiques (2014, Rennes: Presses Universitaires de Rennes).

His latest research concerns the political control of space, the ethnicization of public policies and the frameworks of political representation.
