Elizabeth Cherry

Elizabeth Cherry is associate professor of sociology at Manhattanville College, in Purchase, New York, where she conducts research on human–animal relationships, social movements, culture, and environmental sociology. She is the author of Culture and Activism: Animal Rights in France and the United States (Routledge, 2016) and her new book, tentatively titled For the Birds: Protecting Wildlife through the Naturalist Gaze, explores birding as an environmental hobby.
