Mathilde Rudolph is a PhD candidate in demography within the research unit SAGE (Sociétés, Acteurs, Gouvernement en Europe – Societies, Actors and Government in Europe; UMR CNRS 7363) at the University of Strasbourg, where she began her doctorate in October 2016. Her thesis focuses on the measurement of residential mobility and the analysis of its actors and characteristics, in a context of urban shrinkage in Europe between 1990 and 2010. This work follows on from a master’s dissertation, completed in 2015, on the selectivity of residential mobility in French shrinking cities, and a year spent working as a research engineer on the ANR Altergrowth project.
