Marie-Hélène Bacqué is professor of urban studies at Université Paris-Nanterre (in the Mosaïques laboratory, within the LAVUE mixed research unit – UMR CNRS 7218). Her work concerns the transformation of working-class neighbourhoods, and urban democracy in France and the United States. Her recent publications include Retour à Roissy, voyage sur le RER B, with photographs by André Mérian (Éditions du Seuil, 2019); and, in collaboration with Emmanuel Bellanger and Henri Rey, Banlieues populaires. Territoires, sociétés, politiques (Éditions de l’Aube, 2018). She is the director of the participatory research program POP‑PART.
