Terriq Thompson

Terriq Thompson graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in 2019. He is a member of Free Your Voice and the South Baltimore Land Trust (SBCLT). Terriq, along with Carlos Sanchez and other Free Your Voice youth, helped to build the SBCLT, which is a tool used to address the vacant and blighted land that we see throughout the city. In addition, Carlos and the other members of Free Your Voice were instrumental in the creation of the very first Fair Development Plan for Zero Waste, which places an emphasis on equity and ensuring historically disadvantaged communities are no longer used as dumping grounds. The youth are also featured in the documentary film Unbreathable: The Fight for Healthy Air.
