Llerena Guiu Searle is an assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Rochester, in New York State. Her research focuses on the ways in which capitalist practices shape urban space in globalizing India. She is the author of Landscapes of Accumulation: Real Estate and the Neoliberal Imagination in Contemporary India (University of Chicago Press, 2016) and articles in the Journal of Linguistic Anthropology, Economy & Society and the International Journal of Urban and Regional Research.
