Gabriel Renault is a PhD student in urban and regional planning at Grenoble-Alpes University. He completed a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning at Paris-1 Panthéon–Sorbonne University, and a master’s degree at the École Normale Supérieure, with a major in geography. While completing his master’s degree, Gabriel took part in a Popsu-Métropoles project, led by the PUCA, focusing on urban metabolism and waste management practices in the Métropole Européenne de Lille (MEL). He also worked on the spatial distribution and governance of the foundational economy in Great Britain. He is currently working on the economic implications of local socioecological transitions as part of his PhD project, undertaken within the PACTE research unit.
