Philippe Poinsot is an assistant professor at Gustave Eiffel University and the École d’Urbanisme de Paris (EUP; Paris School of Urban Planning). He is also a member of the Laboratoire Ville Mobilité Transport (LVMT) research unit, where his work focuses primarily on the analysis of collective choices (particularly in the field of transportation), the economic tools and methods developed to determine and implement these choices, and the funding of public services more generally. His research lies at the intersection of several fields: the history of economic analysis, the economics of transportation, the economics of development, and territorial economics.
