Elizabeth Nelson is a geographer in the Department of Earth Sciences at Montana State University, specializing in cultural geography. Currently, her research examines Algerian immigrant integration in France, with a focus on identity, religion, and spatial practices. With research experience in France, Algeria, Montserrat, and the US, her research has covered topics ranging from renewable energy in the American Southwest to the geomorphological landscapes of the West Indies. In the classroom, Dr. Nelson focuses on providing her students with the conceptual tools to critically assess and understand the contemporary world.
