Marie Morelle holds a PhD in geography, has obtained the habilitation à diriger des recherches qualification (enabling the supervision of doctoral research), is a lecturer at Paris‑1 Panthéon–Sorbonne University and a member of the joint research unit PRODIG (Pôle de Recherche pour l’Organisation et la Diffusion de l’Information Géographique – Research Cluster for the Organization and Dissemination of Geographical Information; UMR CNRS 8586), and is an associate member of the Fondation Paul Ango Ela in Cameroon. Her work focuses on the links between political and urban geography via empirical entry points, such as prison and the police, and economic and political informality in Europe (France) and Africa (Cameroon).
