Julian Mischi

Julian Mischi is a sociologist and research director at the Institut National de la Recherche pour l’Agriculture, l’Alimentation et l’Environnement (INRAE – French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment) and a member of the Institut de Recherche Interdisciplinaire en Sciences Sociales (IRISSO – Interdisciplinary Research Institute in the Social Sciences; Paris Dauphine University – PSL).

His work combines sociology and history, with a particular focus on the spatial dimension of social phenomena. His research concerns the workers’ movement, the working classes, and municipal power in rural spaces.
