Léo Magnin

Léo Magnin is a doctoral student in sociology and anthropology at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS Lyon) and at Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée University. He is affiliated to two joint research units: LISIS (Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Sciences, Innovations, Sociétés – Interdisciplinary Laboratory for the Study of Science and Innovation in Societies; UMR CNRS 9003) and IHRIM (Institut d’Histoire des Représentations et des Idées dans les Modernités – Institute for the History of Representations and Ideas in the Modern Era; UMR CNRS 5317). His research focuses on the role of hedgerows in the “greening” of the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy. At ENS Lyon, he is the co‑director, along with Rémi Rouméas, of the Junior EcoPol (Ecology and Policing) laboratory, which is currently conducting a study on the policing of water quality by the Agence Française pour la Biodiversité (French Biodiversity Agency).
