Saba A. Le Renard is a sociologist and research director at the CNRS [French National Center for Scientific Research], and has been a member of the Centre Maurice Halbwachs (CMH) research unit since 2011. Their research work includes an ethnographic study conducted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, published under the title Femmes et espaces publics en Arabie Saoudite (Paris: Dalloz, 2011). In this study, they analyzed the way in which the mobile lifestyles adopted by certain Saudi women, in the context of gender segregation, transform standards of femininity and social hierarchies.
