Over the past decade, he has taught in five universities, in both France (Lyon, Nantes, Rouen, and Perpignan) and Japan (Chuo University), as either a teaching assistant or a lecturer. In addition to his academic activities, he has also worked in the private sector, for companies such as Vinci, as a consultant on urban change, and as a member of the scientific committee of CLAMEUR (Connaître les Loyers et Analyser les Marchés sur les Espaces Urbains et Ruraux, a private-sector observatory of residential rents in France). He is a former fellow of the Palladio Foundation and the Schmidheiny Foundation for his research in the field of real estate, and is an alumnus of the Center for Olympic Studies, the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for foreign scholars, the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Sciences, and the École Française d’Extrême-Orient (EFEO – French School of the Far East).
