Simon Joxe holds degrees in economics and social sciences from the Paris-7 Diderot University, in urban planning from Paris-4 Sorbonne University, and in geography from the University of Le Mans. He is currently preparing a doctoral dissertation in geography within the ESO Le Mans research unit, as part of an industrial research and training agreement (convention industrielle de formation par la recherche, CIFRE) with AC3A (Association of Atlantic Arc Chambers of Agriculture) and Pays de la Loire Regional Council. His research focuses on organic waste metabolism and channels in three areas of the Pays de la Loire region (Île d’Yeu, Les Mauges, and Sablé-sur-Sarthe), in western France, in the context of the “circular bioeconomy.”
