Chris Hamnett

Chris Hamnett is professor of geography at King’s College London. He has conducted numerous studies in the fields of housing, socio-spatial inequalities and gentrification since the 1980s. He has written several major works, notably Cities, Housing and Profits with Bill Randolph in 1988, Unequal City: London in the Global Arena in 2003 and, more recently, with Tim Butler, Ethnicity, Class and Aspiration: Remaking London’s New East End (2011).
