Amin Ghaziani

Amin Ghaziani is professor of sociology and Canada Research Chair in Sexuality and Urban Studies at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He is the author or editor of five books: The Dividends of Dissent (University of Chicago Press), A Decade of HAART (Oxford University Press), There Goes the Gayborhood? (Princeton University Press), Sex Cultures (Polity), and Imagining Queer Methods (NYU Press). Prof. Ghaziani has given hundreds of media interviews about his research to international outlets, including The New Yorker, American Prospect, British Vogue, and Time magazines; BBC, CBC, and NPR radio stations; The Globe & Mail in Canada; The Guardian in the UK; and USA Today, The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times in the US. His latest work looks at the relationship between ephemerality and queer placemaking efforts in London.
