Jean-Christophe François

Jean-Christophe François is a lecturer at the Université Paris‑7 Diderot. His research concerns the social division of metropolitan spaces in connection with social and spatial inequalities. In thematic terms, his interests include the analysis of the segregative processes in the school environment; from a theoretical standpoint, his work focuses on the multiscalar analysis of social and spatial interactions, and on the notion of spatial discontinuity. In 2008, he published, with Franck Poupeau, Le sens du placement : ségrégation résidentielle et ségrégation scolaire (Paris: Raisons d’Agir).
