Cédric David

Cédric David holds a PhD in modern history from Paris-Nanterre University and is a researcher within the mixed research unit IDHE.S (Institutions et Dynamiques Historiques de l’Économie et de la Société – Institutions and Historic Dynamics of the Economy and Society; UMR CNRS 8533). His PhD thesis, supervised by Marie-Claude Blanc-Chaléard, examined the history of social housing for immigrant families in Saint-Denis, in the inner Paris suburbs, between 1945 and 1995.

He is a history and geography teacher at a collège (junior high/lower secondary school) in Saint-Denis, and a member of the association AMuLoP (Association pour un Musée du Logement Populaire du Grand Paris), which seeks to create a museum of working-class housing in the Paris region.
