Sonia Curnier is a doctoral research assistant at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland. Her research focuses on contemporary trends in public space design, and in particular on the design processes that lie behind them. She holds a master’s degree in architecture with a specialisation in territorial development from EPFL. Before returning to the academic world, she worked for two years in an urban-planning agency based in Switzerland.
