Thomas Chevallier is a PhD candidate in political science at Lille‑2 University, within the CERAPS research unit (Centre d’Études et de Recherches Administratives, Politiques et Sociales; UMR CNRS 8026) and attached to the Centre Marc-Bloch in Berlin. His research concerns associative participation in neighborhood policies in France and Germany and the working classes’ relationship with politics. His ethnographic survey focuses on associations in a neighborhood of Lille in France and a neighborhood of Berlin in Germany.
