Grégory Busquet is a lecturer in sociology at Université Paris‑Ouest Nanterre La Défense. He completed his PhD at the Institut d’Urbanisme de Paris (Paris Institute of Urban Planning) and is a member of the research unit LAVUE (Laboratoire Architecture, Ville, Urbanisme, Environnement; UMR 7218; “Mosaïques” team). His work concerns the relationships between space and politics, through urban ideologies and the ideas and discourses that construct new representations of territories, which he explores and studies in particular through the history of social sciences and their relationship to the “urban object”, territorialised public action, and the process of heritage designation and the conflicts in terms of memories and representations that this process can generate.
