Axelle Brodiez-Dolino

Axelle Brodiez-Dolino is a CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) researcher in contemporary history, at the Centre Norbert Elias in Marseille. Her research focuses on the history of poverty and precarity (public policies, associations, and forms of vulnerability) and the history of humanitarian action. Her publications include Combattre la pauvreté. Vulnérabilités sociales et sanitaires de 1880 à nos jours (CNRS Éditions, 2013), Emmaüs et l’abbé Pierre (Presses de Sciences Po, 2009), and Le Secours populaire français : du communisme à l’humanitaire (Presses de Sciences Po, 2006). She is the author of a forthcoming work titled Une histoire sociale du traitement du sans-abrisme depuis 1945.
