Émeline Bailly holds a PhD in urban planning, has been a researcher at the CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment – Scientific and Technical Centre for Building) since 2010, and is an associate researcher at Lab’Urba (EA 3482 – Université Paris-Est). Her work focuses on sustainable urban design and the concepts of landscape, urbanity and the “welcomingness” of places. In parallel, she coordinates urban research missions and programmes at international level (New York, Tehran, Rabat, Phnom Penh, etc.) and regularly speaks at urban-planning institutes and architecture schools in France and abroad.
